Pear + Prosciutto Appetizer

Description

This delicious Pear + Prosciutto appetizer is perfect for any get together, and can be made in about 15 minutes. Best of all, it looks impressive!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pear
  • lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp. gorgonzola crumbles (or other cheese – see notes)
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 3 oz. pkg prosciutto
  • 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Instructions

  1. Slice pear into wedges, large enough to hold appetizer. Toss in lemon juice immediately to stop pear from turning brown.
  2. Layer 2-3 arugula leaves on top of pear slice.
  3. Press gorgonzola crumbles together into a bite sized piece. Place on top of arugula.
  4. Wrap in prosciutto.
  5. Stir balsamic and honey in a small sauce pan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Drizzle balsamic glaze over appetizer and serve immediately!

Notes

Not a fan of gorgonzola? Try subbing slices of manchego, brie, camembert, or aged cheddar.
