Lavender Latte with Almond Milk + Honey - Fridge to Fork

Lavender Latte with Almond Milk + Honey

  • Author: Ellen
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 lattes 1x

Description

Make a delicious lavender infused latte without simple syrup — or fancy espresso equipment!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. freshly brewed, strong coffee
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1.5 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp culinary-grade, organic lavender

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat almond milk over medium. Do not let the almond milk come to a boil! Whisk in honey and lavender. Reduce heat to low and let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Turn off heat, cover with a lid and let steep for 10 more minutes.
  3. Strain the almond milk into a blender to remove the lavender. Pulse the milk on high to foam.
  4. Divide the coffee between two mugs. Top with the warm almond milk and froth.

Notes

If you are following Whole30, or otherwise trying to reduce your sugar intake, you can omit the honey.

Don’t have honey in the pantry? You can sub with one tablespoon of Grade A maple syrup or with Agave.
